A Place to Belong—Grow—Serve!
In the Heart of Seminole County
For the Transformation of the World!

We are a United Methodist congregation serving the communities of Casselberry and Winter Springs, Florida. At Tuskawilla UMC we are committed to Faith in God and Faith with Family as we Belong, Grow, and Serve together!

At TUMC we
Belong to Christ and his community of believers

Grow in knowledge and love of Christ

Serve Christ and our neighbors for the transformation of the world.

We believe commitment to our vision equips and strengthens us to fulfill the mission of The United Methodist Church: to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

If you are new and a guest to our family of faith, we invite you to review the Visitor Information section of our site.

TUMC Spring Rummage Sale Appreciation

Many thanks to everyone that made the Spring 2018 Rummage Sale a success—especially Alaine Gorman, Sheryl Love, and Wayne Wright! We are grateful for all your support—donating items, set-up, patronage, and clean-up! Our children and youth are excited as they look towards the completion of the Playground Renovation and the coming summer mission trip!

Celebration of Life for Rev. Skip Parvin

The celebration of life for Rev. Skip Parvin will be Saturday, May 26th, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary, with a reception immediately following in the Fellowship Hall.

We anticipate Pastor Skip's memorial service to be well attended, so we will be seeking a number of volunteers to serve that day as an offering of our love and support to the Parvin Family. We will need greeters, parking lot attendants, ushers, servants to prepare and provide food for the reception, hospitality servants to serve at the reception, and servants to help with set-up and clean-up. Please connect with Pastor Sarah (pastor@tumcfl.org) or Lila Buchanan about where you would like to serve. Thank you!

Handbell Ringers Needed!

The Tuskawilla Handbell Choir needs you! We are in need of additional ringers. Even if you have never rung before, we will TEACH you, and it is FUN! We rehearse after the 11:00 a.m. worship each week from 12:15–1:15 p.m. Even a short term commitment would be appreciated and enable us to ring in worship. Please contact music director Ty Riddle (music@tumcfl.org).

Falling Upward Small Group Study

Beginning Wednesday, February 21st, 6:30–7:30 p.m., Pastor Sarah will lead a 14-week evening study of Fr. Richard Rohr's Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life. In this study participants will lean into a new paradigm for understanding how our failings can be the foundation for our ongoing spiritual growth. Participants are urged to purchase a copy of Rohr's book, which is available through Amazon.com or a local bookstore. For more information please email Pastor Sarah (pastor@tumcfl.org).

TUMC Food Pantry to Support Hope's Pantry at Hope Helps Oviedo

Beginning in February donations given to TUMC's Food Pantry will be delivered by volunteers to support and stock the Hope's Pantry at Hope Helps Oviedo rather than made into emergency food bags that are distributed by TUMC's Office Staff.

Hope Helps Oviedo provides a number of services for persons in need and/or experiencing homelessness. Our Food Pantry Leadership and Executive Council believe supporting Hope's Pantry with donations from our church family is a great way for us to be good neighbors and bolster Hope Helps Oviedo in the excellent service they provide.

We will continue to receive food donations on the First Sunday of each month in the shopping carts outside the Sanctuary Building or any Sunday morning or Wednesday evening in the Family Room. We will also post a notice on the Church Office Window directing folks seeking emergency food assistance to Hope Helps Oviedo.

If you have any questions, please connect with Pastor Sarah (pastor@tumcfl.org). Thank you.

Willa Kids and Gravity Youth Volunteers Needed

Willa Kids and Gravity Youth are looking for volunteers to help with Willa Kids and Youth Bible Study on Wednesday nights from 6:00–7:30 p.m. If you are interested, please connect with the Church Office (office@tumcfl.org).
