Welcome, Rev. Heather Harding!

Pastor Heather Harding

Pastor Heather Harding is a graduate of Seminole Community College (A.A), University of Miami (BM), University of Central Florida (M.Ed.), and Duke Divinity School (M.Div.). Before experiencing the call to ministry, she worked as a music teacher in Dade and Orange Counties. She has two adult daughters, Brittany and Danielle, a four-year old granddaughter named Eloise, a two-year old grandson named Kit, a faithful dog named Gracie and an irascible cat named Annesley.

She has served in the Florida Conference for 5 years and was ordained as an elder in 2018.

Pastor Heather is passionate about equipping people for ministry. Her leadership style begins with building relationships with people, then helping them discover the ways that God has uniquely gifted them to use those gifts in their life and work. She believes that everyone should have a core group of people who will be there for support and accountability. These types of small groups or covenant groups are what allowed John Wesley to grow the revival movement that became known as Methodism. As people grow in their lives of prayer, Scripture, worship, financial faithfulness, serving, and inviting, they also grow in God’s grace.

She believes that all are welcome in the church. The United Methodist Church practices an open communion table, believing that it is Jesus invites everyone to the table. Everyone is invited to fully participate in the ministry of the church.
